Come On! "the power within"
Never did I dream that this little tennis ball would literally save my life! Fast forward to 2007, life was good, rolling thru my thirties, career established, owned a home, great family & friends..... the American dream!!! Recession hits my perfectville! Reeling after losing my career, home and everything I knew as "normal", I fell into a deep dark depression. One day a friend invited me to a tennis lesson. Having not picked up a racquet for over 20+ years, it was challenging (to say the least) but I am not a quitter and also very competitive!! Soon thereafter I found myself on the local league, enjoying the camaraderie with teammates, opponents, mental toughness and of course the competition!
So 4 years later, here I am……my teammates laugh ….I’m always yelling during the match “we are still here” and the truth is……we all have “the power within”………so COME ON!!!!
Never….ever give up on yourself and your dreams ………
